During this weeks' life drawing session, I managed to capture the suggestion of detail and form while maintaining looseness in my sketches. Something I often strive for during short life drawing sessions, but (in my opinion) at the same time something that often fails. Maybe it was easier this time because we could draw a curvier model. The clear curves and sharply defined shapes make it easier to to 'tackle' the exaggeration a sketch needs to look powerful. Like the five-minute sketch you can see here.
